Now a story of my little orphan Roscoe. In July of 2008 I was browsing the pet section of Craigslist & I found this little cutie. At the time he was a 5lb, 4 year old Yorkie, & his name was Ichibod (like the headless horseman). His family had a baby & could no longer give him the care he deserved, so he came to join our family. Two years later he's a 7.8lb, 6 year old Yorkie, & his name is Roscoe :)
When I picked Roscoe up, he had the shortest hair ever! He was super friendly, but the more I visited with his owner, the more I could see he had been living a not so great life. He only had 3 toys- a rope, a hippo hand puppet, & a "monkey ball" as we call it.
Now to this Monkey Ball... Roscoe LOVES it! He likes to grab it by the leg & sling it around in his mouth while growling viciously. He will "throw" it at your feet & you have to bounce it for him (the belly is a bouncy ball). He never gets tired of this game. You can say, "Ross, go get your monkey ball," & 9 times out of 10 he will! His monkey ball is very beat up, ugly, & stinky to say the least... Well the other day my husband found the same one on ebay! We also found out they have other animals too. So we jumped on this opportunity & got him another monkey ball & a kitty ball too :) They just came in the mail yesterday & Roscoe was so overwhelmed he didn't know what to do! He loves the new ones so much. He definitely plays with the new ones more than the old one now. Below are some comparison pictures. Also a picture of Roscoe after a long night of play.
