Hello! Today I don't have any new design creations to share, so I'm pulling the "be distracted by the cute pups" pictures out :) Here's my clan of dogs. The first picture is Parker & Bruiser, then the second & third are all three (Roscoe is the lighter of the Yorkies). These pictures were taken on a hot day in June. As you can see they look hot & tired, that's the only way I can get them in the same picture! Usually they run or turn right when I'm trying to get a good shot.

On to other news, this morning I was greeted by a lovely email titled: "Sneak Peek Giveaway Winner." I won beautiful custom made business cards from Honizukle Press! I'm so excited to get these made, I've never had professional cards for my shop so this will be so nice! They are going to be in this gorgeous floral design:

Hi there! Today I'm "cheating" & posting pics of cards that have made small cameos on the blog, but never got the full spotlight they deserve :) The first card made only a small appearance in my shop before it was purchased. The second is still up for grabs. This weekend I got more of the papers used on each of these envelopes. I found a 5x7" stack of papers from the first envelope at my fav scrapbook boutique for 25% off (score!).

Well, today is flag football Wednesday. Oh joy. Tonight my husband is playing 7:30-8:30 then again 9:30-10:30, so we have an hour in between to watch another team play. This weekend I made a trip to the mall. We got a new Forever 21 & it's 2 stories! I must say it was a bit overwhelming. SO many clothes everywhere you look. All I got was a bracelet, go figure. I can't leave there without earrings or some kind of accessory! I will have to take a picture of it, it's so pretty.

think pink

Hi there! Today I'm sharing this card I made a couple of weeks ago. "Think Pink" for breast cancer awareness month (October). I found this cute pink ribbon paper by Making Memories & had to put it to use. Sweet & simple- I like it. It will be up in my shop sooner than later.

Yesterday I took the day off work. Wish I would have gotten more done, but hey, that's the story of my life. I'm loving our "cool front" right now. Which means instead of it being 95+ degrees it's mid-upper 80's. Anything helps! There's a nice little breeze & no humidity.. yay for the first signs of fall :) Can't wait to start wearing my scarves & jackets.

Friday at last

Hi yall! Today I'm sharing these little tags I made the other day. I got this "ribbon" at Michael's in the dollar ribbon section. The middle part is actually wire. I started playing around with it & came up with these pumpkins. Thinking about listing them in my shop, but I can't decide if 3 is a good number?

I am so super-over-the-moon-excited that today is finally Friday. Work has been super boring this week which makes it seem like time has been standing still. This morning I got up really early & cleaned the house before work. I'm talking deep clean- dishes, laundry, sweeping, mopping, etc. I'm so proud of myself :) There's something about cleanliness & organization that makes me feel happy & like I can do whatever I want in peace. This weekend I hope to get a little shopping in & spend some time with the pups. My husband will finally be off starting next week so we can return to our normal routines, yay :)

Fall Cleaning

Hi there! Today I'm featuring sets from my fall cleaning. I was browsing my Etsy shop the other day & noticed I had 30 expired listings! See, when you list something for sale on Etsy, you have 4 months to sell it, if not it expires. So in my 13 months of selling on Etsy, 30 things haven't sold, kinda sad, but they can't all be winners :) I could just re-list them & hope they sell this go around, but I decided to make 3 packs at a discount so I can save time & make room for bigger & better things, ha. If you click the pictures above it will take you directly to the set. They are 3 for $10, which is unheard of in my shop! Everything about each card is handmade- the cards, the envelopes, the address labels, & the sticker seals. Each card takes around an hour to complete & a lot of love goes into them! So there you have it, "my out with the old, in with the new sale" is

on!

On to other things, since it's not SO burning hot outside now, I've been taking the dogs on walks almost everyday for the past couple of weeks. We have 3 dogs- Parker (7 year old Yorkie), Roscoe (6.5 year old Yorkie), & Bruiser (5 year old Jack Russell). However, I only take one dog per day. Sounds mean, but when they are together it's just bad news (they aren't the best behaved dogs to say the least). We walk about 2 blocks- down the street, around the neighborhood park, then we check the mail & come back home. Since day one, we've been seeing the cutest little bunny daily. He is so cute & he's fearless, we can get close & he just sits still. I always take pictures of him with my phone, but they turn out so blurry. I want to take a real camera but I can't figure out a way to carry it on me. Well, on Tuesday the little bun decided to introduce us to his twin brother- yes, there were 2! So I now have 2 goals- I want better pictures & I want to pet them. I'm pretty sure they'd let me, but I don't know how the dogs would feel about that. I'm pretty sure my husband would flip out because he thinks they have rabies since they aren't scared of anything lol. I'll keep you posted :)

Not much new to show today, so I thought I'd share my latest branding items. Above are my business cards. I make these myself using Publisher, nothing fancy-schmancy. They are 3x3" Everytime I run out, I like to do a new design :)

Same goes for these little stickers. They are about 2x3" I cut them out using an oval circle punch I got at Ross for $5 & then run them through my Xyron to make them into stickers.
Here are some old pictures I found of Parker the other day. Wasn't he such a cute puppy?? I got Parker in the summer of 2003 when I moved out for college. I will have to take some new pictures of him soon so you can see him then & now.

Lastly, I have a secret obsession I wanted to share with you- my love for TV! All of the fall premieres are starting & I'm so excited to see all of my favorites making a return! Here is my must see list:

a big win

I'm an avid blog reader- I follow tons & tons of blogs. One of my favorite is Pebbles Inc. because their products are just SO darn cute! Back in July during Summer CHA I saw this post & of course I had to comment. Then a few weeks later on a typical Friday afternoon, I decided to check my blogs out of boredom & what do I see? I WON!!! I was so excited I almost got tears in my eyes! (what can I say, I'm really excitable!) So yesterday when I got home, I was greeted to a 12x12ish size box at my doorstep. I opened it to find my sweet Christmas in September! I've never owned a complete line of any thing & certainly haven't won anything like this before! Here's what I got:
12 2 sided 12x12" papers, all so super cute!

2 sets of alpha stickers (love!)

A cat & dog version of: chipboard stickers, felts, & tags (!!!)

& last but not least, these cat & dog dimensional stickers.

I couldn't be happier about this prize! It's SO freakin' cute! I just hope I don't hoard it all away like I tend to do when I get stuff I adore. I hope after seeing this small peak of what Pebbles Inc. has to offer you will follow their blog too! It's full of cuteness, eye candy, & inspiration.

custom order

Hello! I hope yall had a good weekend! I got a lot of creating done this weekend- 4 banners, a card, 3 Halloween tags, & the 30 tags pictured above- to be exact :) Usually I don't create as much as I have been lately, but my husband's been working a lot & when he's gone I make stuff- that or I shop for supplies, watch too much tv, &/or fall into a super lazy state ;)

I made these tags to go with this little Sesame Street birthday party pack I've been working on for a fun custom order. Each tag is about 2.25" & will go on favor bags as thank you notes. I also made the cupcake toppers I mentioned last week & these banners. The happy birthday one is for the wall & the Parker one is for the high chair :) It's nice to see it all come together.

an explosion of cuteness

Happy Friday to you all! Today I'm so super excited to share this card with you! Last night I got to playing around with all my supplies & came up with this card for my BFF, Jerae, who turned 26 on Monday :) Finally her card has come to life & I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out! I made it listening to my Britney Spears Pandora station, it kind of shows, huh? ;) I dropped it off at the post office today & can't wait til she gets it. I'm pretty sure this beats last year's card as well as all my cards- this is my new all time fav. (for now anyway) :)

Yesterday Paper Crafts Magazine sent out their acceptance emails for the March/April issue. Sadly none of my submissions got accepted, but I'm not that disappointed. The next call I'm going to take more time to plan & create... live & learn! However, I did just enter this card into their September Read Between the Lines contest, so there's some hope with that :) (the blue ticket is a parking pass from our beach trip to Galveston last year)

Well, that's about it for today! In a little while a group of my co-workers are going to an Italian restaurant to celebrate Lynn's birthday & I'm really looking forward to it. I haven't had Italian food in forever & it'll be nice to do something different for lunch. Oh, our goodbye dessert party was a success yesterday. Nothing beats a good afternoon sugar rush, right? ha.

new banners

Hi there! Here are the banners I mentioned the other day in full completion :) I listed the zebra one yesterday & guess what? I'm about to go mail it in a few minutes- it sold the same day, yay! Also, I made this polka dot one to be listed today. Each shape is handsewn on using baker's twine.

Today at work we are having a little going away dessert party for someone that's leaving. I'm excited for some sweet treats mid-afternoon :) Well, I'm off to the post office, to grab a quick bite to eat, & pick up some Sprite for the little shin-dig. Tonight I'll be working on tags to match the cupcake toppers I made last weekend & I'm also going to finish up a card :)

ladies & daisies

Good morning/afternoon/night- whatever it may be where ever you may be :) Today I'm sharing my most recent custom order. A baby shower themed in lady bugs. Something new- these little lady bugs & daisies that will hang from the ceiling, a fan, a chandelier, whatever :) (see the last set of pictures for an example). I'm really pleased with how these turned out & I hope the recipient will be too!

Today I'll be adding the rest of the Halloween cards to the shop & maybe 2 new banners I completed this morning :) Tonight begins a new season of flag football. woo. It's not so bad when other wives/girlfriends go, but sometimes I'm the only one & that can get a little boring. Well, I'm off to do some work & then catch up on a little blog reading of my own.

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a little peek at what I worked on last night while watching the season finale of Bachelor Pad & then the premiere of Gossip Girl (!!). These are new banners I've been dreaming of for a while. I decided to replace the ribbon ties at the top (like the lady bug at the bottom) with a cardstock shape & button. I think it's cuter & I know these will ship so much better without all the bulk of the bows.

That's about it for today. This afternoon I will be doing a small speech at work. I work at a chiropractic college & for the past few trimesters I've had to do this. Not my fav. part of the job, but it's getting better with time. I'll be speaking to 25-40 people, not so bad... or is it? Sometimes I think the smaller crowd can be just as intimidating as the whole auditorium being full. ;)

Monday

Hello, hello! Today I had planned to blog about my bff's b-day card & do a little b-day tribute to her, but things got a little crazy this weekend & I haven't had time to photograph her card... or even put it together! I know, bad friend right?, but I was the first to wish her happy b-day last night at midnight & her card will be en route soon! ;)

Saturday I got a little lazy craft wise & boy did I pay for it on Sunday! I got up super early yesterday & worked on so many things it's not even funny. I finished up the cards (above), made the 30 cupcake toppers (below), made a custom baby banner, a few custom samples, & I cut out 4 new baby banners that just need to be pieced together.

I also did something new, something daring that I've never tried before- I made 3 cards & one banner & submitted them to Paper Crafts Magazine for their current submission call. They send out their acceptance emails on Friday. I'm a huge fan of their magazine & if any of my things ever got accepted I'd be so super excited. Sadly, I don't think my things will get selected this go around. The stuff I made is cute, but is it magazine cute? I don't know. Next time, I won't decide the day before the deadline to submit & I think I'll have a better chance. So my fingers will be crossed all week in hopes that one of my submissions get selected.

Oh, the Halloween cards will be going up in the shop today/maybe tomorrow!
